My name is Rachel and I’m the manager of YMCA Day Nursery. I have a degree in Childhood Studies and a level 5 in Leadership and Management. I have 4 years management experience and really enjoy my career in childcare. My passions in childcare are outdoor play, there’s nothing better than being outside exploring the natural environment with the children and getting muddy! I am also passionate about staff development and believe that all staff should have further opportunities to develop their skills to enable their personal progress which in turn helps to develop the setting and the opportunities we provide the children. I am new to YMCA North Tyneside and have found working for the charity to be very inspirational.
