We held our first ‘Picnic in the Park’ and this was a fabulous event with almost all our nursery families joining in the fun.
It was wonderful to see the community coming together. Parents comments included:
‘It was a great opportunity to meet some of the other children and families that attend the nursery. It was also lovely to see how many of the staff knew our son George by name having only been with you for a couple of weeks. We would love to see the event happen again next year.’
Many of our nursery team volunteered at the ‘Picnic in the Park’ event, where they got to spend time with our nursery families outside of the learning environment and engage with potential new nursery families 
It was our largest event yet, but one of several we are a part of during the year to help parents get to know one another and grow the community spirit within our YMCA family!
