Being part of YMCA North Tyneside means we can offer families a number of unique benefits when they choose to place their child within our nursery. These benefits promote positivity and community so that every parent, grandparent or carer, become a part of our organisation as a whole, gaining access to the extensive facilities we have here in North Shields and helping us achieve our charitable goals.
When a family registers their child with our nursery they become a YMCA North Tyneside Member. This gives them 15% off all food and drinks at our fabulous cafe, a great excuse to meet friends and catch up over coffee, knowing your child is being cared for in a safe and fun environment just across the road.
The YMCA North Tyneside membership also opens up access to exclusive YMCA Gym membership offers such as 12 week passes for referrals and not paying a joining fee, so whether you’re looking to find relaxation in a yoga session or keep fit in one of our latest Les Mills classes, parents and guardians can use our facilities while their child is at YMCA Day Nursery.
Other benefits include the use of our sensory room, allotment and sports hall for the children. It’s great to have a variety of spaces in close proximity to the nursery that we can use to further our children’s experiences and promote their development.
We are also planning to start some intergenerational work, bringing young and old together to share experiences and learn from each other. This collaboration with the Gym team, our Healthy Hearts group and our children will take place in our sports hall where the different generations have ample space to interact with each other whilst keeping fit and healthy.
