At YMCA Day Nursery we aim to support our families as well as our children. We believe that this is essential when families may be facing difficult times including concerns about their children, money or housing issues. Our highly experienced and dedicated staff are able to offer support in the form of an Early Help Assessment.
This assessment brings together a team around the family every 6 weeks that can offer support in house and externally, through the local authority and other available services. We talk with the family members involved and discuss their strengths and challenges, which helps us work out their needs and source the right people to provide further support to the child and the family as a whole.
YMCA Day Nursery is part of YMCA North Tyneside which is a charitable organisation helping transform the lives of young people throughout the local area. This association means our staff have a heightened understanding of the difficult situations families can face and it also means that as an organisation, we have specialist resources available so that each family have the support they need to develop and lead more fulfilling lives.
