Spreading Christmas Cheer to Vulnerable Children
The magic of Christmas should be felt by every child, and at the YMCA Day Nursery, we take that to heart. This past holiday season, we were determined to bring a smile to the faces of children from vulnerable families in our community.

Providing SEND Support
The effects of the Covid pandemic are still being discovered, however, within our nursery we have seen a significant rise in children under 5 presenting with a variety of additional needs. Our team has risen to meet the need with extra training, provision and partnership work to help support each child with their particular needs.

Jubilee Tea Party
Over 60 children, staff, parents and carers came together to celebrate during our Platinum Jubilee Tea Party. Everyone had a fantastic time! It was our first Stay and Play post-COVID restrictions and what a delight it was to see the joy on the children’s faces as they took part in Jubilee-themed activities alongside their parents and carers. Lisa, our Nursery cook, prepared a lovely afternoon picnic for everyone with finger sandwiches, sausage rolls and cakes. It all went down exceedingly well and we’re looking forward to the next Stay and Play!
